Tuesday Morning activities, followed by lunch, afternoon activities, you are on your own for supper. Tuesday Evening Concert at 6:00 PM. Daytime acivities include funny stories, show and tell, gospel music movies, etc. Times subject to change.

One Day/Night $60
Includes two meals, two concerts, and all other activities. Socializing among friends is a big part of this event. We call this event an internet social.

SPEER FAMILY TRIBUTE -- A special tribute to the legendary Speer Family is planned during Tuesday night's program. Some vintage footage of the Speer Family through the years will be shown. Former Speer Familiy members Joyce West Black, Ann Downing, Jeanne Johnson, Sue Dodge, Linda Robinson Sholar, Karen Apple Young, and Daryl Williams will be on hand singing some of your favorite songs. Doug Young and Gene McDonald will be singing with them. Tom Powell, Rosa Nell Speer Powell's son, will be conducting a choir featuring many of the great songs written by Dad Speer. Several members of the family are expected to be in attendance. You don't want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime treat!
HOTEL RESERVATIONS. Hotel is not included in the price. We do have a special group rate at the hotel. Call only this number for reservations: 615-896-2420 and ask to book under the group We Love Our Southern Gospel Music History. The rate is $85 plus tax, up to 4 people in a room.
VENDORS - Vendor rates are $35 per 6-ft skirted table. A covering and chairs will be provided. To be a vendor, one must have purchased the convention package and have at least two night reservations at the Clarion Hotel. Otherwise tables are $50 each per night.

HENRY SLAUGHTER DONATION TO WLOSGMH. Our member and friend, Henry and Hazel Slaughter so graciously donated several boxes of merchandise in support of our event. Of course the collection includes many of Henry's piano albums, cassettes, and CDs, as well as the team Henry and Hazel Slaughter together. There are some albums by Jake Hess and the Imperials, The Weatherfords, and others. Much of this material is new and sealed. There are some 78s, sheet music, books,but and songbooks. One of the most interesting things in this collection is Henry's biography which I did not know existed. There are some good buys in this collection. Please stop by and further help support the convention efforts.
